Occupational therapy
Occupational Therapy (OT) treatment focuses on helping people having a physical, sensory or cognitive disability be as independent as possible in all areas of their lives. OT can help people with various needs improve their cognitive, physical, sensory and motor skills and also enhance their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment.
Occupational therapists help to improve abilities post-stroke. They help a person relearn skills needed for performing self-directed activities such as personal grooming, preparing meals, and housecleaning.
